Just checking in...

Yes, I am alive! I've just been busy. I finished the Hemlock Ring blanket and will post a photo soon. I'm working on the Elann Highland Chunk Wool Wrap otherwise known as the Hobbit Wrap for the 'One Shawl to Rule Them All' Ravelery group. I'm just rows away from where I split for the wings. I think I am going to stop there and work on something else. Knitting a winter wrap out of 100% wool just isn't fun when it's 80 degrees and humid! I also just started another baby sweater for a cousin of mine. I'm making it in a pretty mint green color. I have until the 21st to finish it, but I'd like to get it done sooner rather than later.
So, I guess that's it for now. I've been really lazy and not taking very many pictures of anything other than Peanut. I'll need to get back on track now!

So, let's see, what's new? I finished my Hemlock Ring blanket. All that's left to do is block it. I've been working on my shawl for the 'One Shawl to Rule Them All' Ravelry group I belong to. Naturally it is a Hobbit shawl. I'm knitting it in a beautiful dark green color. It's coming out very nice too.

Oh, the Peanut is really kicking his mommy's ass. She's been having labor pains since Friday. They are getting progressively worse but when she went to the hospital they made her walk for 2 hours, examined her and told her to go home. Poor thing. I really feel sorry for her. Hopefully I'll be posting a photo of the baby soon.

In knitting news, here is my Hemlock Ring blanket.
These two were the beginning. I had no problem with this part. I just whizzed pretty much right through the first 47 rows.

These were taken tonight. I have about 15-20 more rows to go. I can't wait to get it done. I keep screwing up on the feather and fan part. I keep missing yarn overs. I've had to put lifelines in. Do you have any idea what it's like to tink 125 stitches 5 times?!

I am keeping this for myself. I would definitely make it as a gift though.
