HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Right now it is about 2 in the afternoon and I'm still in my PJ's wasting a perfectly beautiful last day of the year watching sappy movies and doing laundry. Before I go and take a shower and get ready for my evening I wanted to put down in writing all that I am grateful for. I probably should have done this on Thanksgiving, but now is a good time too.

I am thankful for my mom & dad. I am thankful that they are in pretty good health. They can drive me nuts sometimes (as I am sure I do them), but they are great people.

I am thankful for my brothers, who I love very much and worry about all the time even if I don't say so.

I am thankful for my nephew's. They are the light of my life and I can't imagine what things would be like if those two beautiful little people where not in my world. And now there's going to be a new baby to brighten our lives. I can't wait to meet the new Peanut!

I am thankful for my dear, dear friends who I have known for close to 20 years now. Poo, Neen and I have been through a lot of tears and laughter together. They are my soul sisters and my life would be so empty without them. I am thankful for their kids, who are like my kids sometimes. I am so very proud of all of them. They are all growing into such great people.

I am thankful for my band of new knitty friends. They are all such wonderful, beautiful, talented, giving, loving women. It is sometimes a little overwhelming when I'm sitting at Panera with all of them on a Monday night, and I look at them and wonder, how did I get so lucky?

I am thankful for everyday that I wake up to another day. I may have pictured my life differently when I was a little girl, but I've come to realize that the life I have right now isn't so bad. I may not have a lot of money, I may still be single, but I have the love and support of my family and friends. What more could I ever want?

Have a wonderful and safe New Year.
